The Miami Dolphins are signing free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

The contract has a base salary of $3 million and includes incentives that can increase its value to $8.25 million, reports ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.

The two sides negotiated for weeks, and Miami head coach Mike McDaniel said that his team made an offer to the 31-year-old in March. Multiple Dolphins players reached out to Beckham to convince him to join the AFC East club during negotiations, according to NFL insider Josina Anderson.

The three-time Pro Bowl wideout played the 2023 season on a one-year deal for the Baltimore Ravens but didn't make a big impact on the field, finishing with 35 receptions, 565 yards, and three touchdowns in 14 appearances. He recorded four catches for 34 yards in two playoff games with Baltimore.

The Dolphins will be the fifth team of Beckham's career after the New York Giants (2014-18), Cleveland Browns (2019-21), Los Angeles Rams (2021), and Ravens (2023).

Beckham - the No. 12 pick in 2014 - took the NFL by storm, topping 1,300 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons while earning two second-team All-Pro nods. However, the 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year's production has declined in recent years, and he hasn't topped the 1,000-yard mark since 2019.

The LSU product last showed he had something left in the tank after signing with the Rams midway through the 2021 season. He recorded five touchdowns in eight games with Los Angeles before helping the team win Super Bowl LVI in February 2022. Beckham scored an early TD in the Big Game before suffering a torn ACL that sidelined him for the 2022 season.

In Miami, he'll join an explosive Dolphins offense that features one of the NFL's top wide receiver duos in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. The team also rosters wideouts Braxton Berrios and rookie Malik Washington, among others.

Hill and Waddle reacted to the Beckham signing Friday on social media:

The Dolphins posted an 11-6 record while ranking first in total yards and second in points scored last season. However, McDaniel's outfit didn't finish the campaign on a high note: Miami lost three of its last five regular-season games before suffering a 26-7 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild-card round.
